"I love the quality of pencil. It helps me to get to the core of a thing." Andrew Wyeth
About Me and My Work

I create portraits from photos or digital images using graphite (pencil). I use Strathmore Bristol smooth surface, acid free (to protect from aging), medium to heavyweight drawing paper. I finish each drawing with a fixative for protection from smudging. Unframed, the portrait usually measures 8 x 10, 9 x 12 or 11 x 14 inches. I am also able to mat and frame a portrait with an attractive black double mat and wood frame to complete a professional look. Currently my prices start at $85-$125 for a head and shoulder pose (depending on the time and detail of the portrait) plus a reasonable fee to mat and frame if you choose for me to do so.
I ship the finished artwork to your home after you privately view online and approve. I use shipping materials to protect the drawing from damage.
The photo or digital image must meet certain requirements for me to be capable of doing the quality of work that I do. Specifically the ideal photo or image would be clear, sharp, have good contrast, a close up or have a good amount of subject and lesser background. It does not matter if the image or photo is black and white or color, old or new, etc.
"These portraits are the best I have seen, and they capture the subtext of the photos remarkably. Attention to detail is something I did know about you. You have put that to work in the drawings I have seen here on your page."
